Shaun O'Leary is a Krav Maga instructor who has a lifetime of experience in the martial arts. 

• A former multiple NZ and Oceania Judo champion and Olympic Games competitor.
• A former international competitor, and 5th dan in Shorinjiryu Karate and NZ Chief Instructor. 

A Physical Education graduate from Otago University, he has an in-depth knowledge of Sports Science, biomechanics and teaching pedagogy. He and his wife, Roz, ran a karate club in Waihi for 17 years, teaching hundreds of students and making many life long friends.  He has coached athletes in both judo and karate to national and international honours. He also has experience working door security, with street violence and the management of it.
